That didn't go according to plan

The day of gaming to didn't work out as planned. We started the 40k game late morning. We, the Imperials started well enough inflicting some decent casualties on the Orks but with a mix of tactical errors and bad dice (the curse of any game), we were on the back foot midway through the game albeit in the lead. Some poor dice by our opponent gave us a sniff of victory, but he tightened the noose and deprived us of the objective and it ended in a draw. I was left with 2 Long Fangs, one Blood Claw and Ulrik the Slayer. Next game raise the points to 3000 so 1500 each for me and my friend. That will give us more options.

During the afternoon I had a text from one of the guys I was doing character creation with tonight. Another of the guys was doubtful (one of them contacted me yesterday saying he was ill) and the end result is that we have postponed it until next weekend. Whilst a shame, it allowed me to see out the 40k game as we didn't finish until 9ish. War takes time!
