So far so good

Plans are afoot re gaming. Saturday night I played Relic with a couple of mates, Relic being the Warhammer 40K re-interpretation of Talisman the classic boardgame published by Games Workshop waaaay back in the day, If you like Talisman, check out Talisman Island.

Fantasy Flight Games modified Talisman (they had the licence for it at the time) and planted it in the 40k universe and for me it works better. I lost but that's not unusual. After Fantasy Flight Games partnership with Games Workshop ended, a new deal with Wizkids has been struck so Relic will be back later this year. That said, one of my local shops, Antics, still has the FFG version in stock.

Yesterday, was a lazy start to the day with the afternoon being the three amigos (i.e. the same two guys from the night before and myself) doing 40k figures. They were painting, I was building these bad boys

Now not the best picture i have ever taken but they should be recognisable as Wulfen. They will not be easy to paint, a couple of them have weapons close to them so will be awkward with brushes. I will do the Blood Claws, Grey Hunters etc before these guys so I can improve my skill.

Tomorrow night is D&D 5th ed. My Warlock has gone up a level last session so I get my pact boon which is a book. which just appears. I will let the DM know about that tonight. Hopefully he will let me describe it. We are close to the end of the adventure, I do hope we can come back to these characters again.

Saturday night will be boardgaming thought the game(s) are yet to be decided. Hopefully there should 4-5 of us which will be cool. As for Sunday perhaps there can be another 40k figure session.

The following weekend will be The One Ring restarting after the break. As the players are based in Lake-town, I will be using the Dragontide festival, specifically the archery contest) to introduce the new player. He is a Barding and one of the current players is from Lake-town so they can have their own little competition and with the others I can finalise their fellowship phase.

So good times ahead, i have started a blog entry about the Inis boardgame, that should be up sometime this week.
