What is happening on the gaming front

Yeah, it has been a while. Gutted with that Judas Priest post as that was quite long but I digress, we are back to gaming

The One Ring

The game has stuttered due to availability and bad communication. We are most likely at the last session for the adventure "Don't Leave The Path". Being the last session ideally I want all the players there which hasn't happened in the last month, we play fortnightly so I am talking two sessions. Some of us did actually meet up for one of the sessions and played Honey Heist which was quite a lot of fun. You play Bears looking to steal honey. I hop to get one or two sessions (did someone say Cthulhu one-shot!) before I am on holiday. The plan is, when I am back, to continue the adventure in the Anduin Vale and possibly beyond.

Tuesday game

We have moved onto Mutant Year Zero: Genlab Alpha, where the players on animals that have been experimented on and can speak. I play a badger, an angry badger whose brother has been taken by the Watchers and is hellbent on revenge. Is aware the Mechatron is coming out and has called out the robots on Twitter. Fria Ligan/Free League have designed a rules lite system that is fun to play. As I understand it the Mutant Year Zero universe will have 4 rulebooks, the three i have mentioned and the fourth being the non mutated humans. It is easy to see how the mutants and animals can meet and, hopefully, get along, It will be interesting how Mechatron: Rise of the Robots, to give it it's full title, mixes things up. One of the guys in the group backed the Kickstarter for it so I am sure they will be introduced at some point.

One bit of trivia is that both of these games are released by UK companies, The One Ring by Cubicle 7 and Genlab Alpha by Modiphius and they both have released big gaming news. Cubicle 7 have announced pre-orders for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th ed and Modiphius have announced pre-orders for Vampire 5th Ed. The are flying the flag well.

Here's hoping the gaming gets back on track (and I can slip the Call of Cthulhu game in).
