Wow too long

Apologies, I haven't blogged in ages. I want to get back to at least one post a week. I have started some prep work, I have taken photos of books I will be discussing.

So what has been going on. Messing around with Twitter, having to scrap the car and generally being busy at work means I have been neglecting the blog but onto the gaming stuff I have been doing.

The One Ring - The game is on a break. Sessions have been going on way too infrequently. In a few months we have completed just two adventures. Now there is interest in the group playing Warhammer 40k Roleplay. It was going to be Dark Heresy but now looks like the guy wants to run Wrath and Glory so I knew we were always gonna take a break but I wanted to get another couple of adventures in so I could begin to weave in the start of Darkening of Mirkwood, which would set it up nicely when we came back to it

Seeing as Wrath and Glory isn't out yet, the plan was for me to run a Call of Cthulhu one shot so I have selected one of the adventures from Peterson's Abominations but then we have had cancellations again. Hopefully next Sat because if not, it will be a month before we can try again.

The Sunday group has been cantering along (D&D 5th ed). It has had the odd cancellation but as it is weekly it hasn't suffered. Where we are local heroes having thwarted the plans of the hags and Black Hood. There is still plenty going on but it is good craic as I am playing a somewhat reckless Ranger. It will be interesting as to what happens next

Tuesday crew (Mutant Year Zero - Genlab Alpha). Again plodding along nicely as I channel my inner angry badger. I really like the system D6 dice pool system. It is a light and flexible system which also powers the Tales from The Loop and Coriolis The Third Horizon games which i would also like to play. All, including Mutant Year Zero are by Fria Ligan the Swedish RPG company (I have to blog about the Swedish games at some point as they are banging out great game after great game.

Game On, the fortnightly game night is on holiday and then I miss the next two due to commitments which is a pain as it is a fun night with a friendly bunch of people. I will be attending it regularly alternating (hopefully) with the One Ring/Cthulhu/Wrath and Glory group.
